Computer Donations and Recycling
North Idaho Computer Repair accepts all qualifying donations and can safely recycle your computer or computer components.
Donations
We work alongside local schools, churches, and other organizations to provide computers and computer replacement parts to kids and young adults who would benefit most from them. The donations we take can be any computer, computer component, or computer peripheral that is 10 years old or less that is still working. All donated computers or components with any memory are thouroughly wiped and tested before being donated. Recycling
When it comes to recycling used components there are sometimes additional measures that should be taken to assure that all of your past data is successfully disposed of. For most parts such as: motherboards, mice, ram, or speakers, there is no real worry about how they are thrown away. That being said, we would appreciate donations of those and other parts so we can continue to build computers for others. But when it comes to parts such as hard drives, solid state drives, or usb flash drives, some precautions should be taken to make sure nothing personal or important is being thrown away and potentially being given to others. We can provide safe and secure recycling or destruction of parts of any kind. We also have several methods which we can discuss with you and decide which is best for your circumstances.
